perhaps the world holds too much built-up anger and is not ready for peace yet
i dont know but people seem angry, and earth too
its hard for me to relate, i used to get angry but now i just get tired
i wish everybody could rest
but todays not the day for that

i've been thinking that humans have complicated brains that allow us to enjoy hurting and killing others for reasons beyond hunting and protection, brains that allow us to convince ourselves we're doing the right thing when we're not, brains that seem to produce such intense emotions that it allows us to experience so many beautiful intricate feelings like the joy of friendship and the awe of art etc but also allow us to be completely submerged into our feeling of being wronged, of jealousy, entitlement, etc, so intense that it drives many to abuse and murder others.

cuz i was thinking that the more complicated a species brain gets the more that species is capable of killing for fun basically. like humans and dolphins. bc i can't imagine simpler animals being able to commit torture

also mars is a god of agriculture... i think that's a better thing than war. maybe we should farm more and tend to our beautiful planet more, not try to harbor as much land as possible

yeah, idk…i think war and agriculture is connected in that way. that agriculture(of grains mostly) is a problem cos it requires big amounts of land, and people need to claim that land as theirs and that often leads to conflict, and grain agriculture is also often dependent on slavery and child labour… but i think that the abundance of food that agriculture can provide is something thats made our brains larger so i agree with u there. i never heard that about dolphins tho!! maybe killing for fun could be something mostly well-nourished animals do? cats definitely do it as well!!

yeah i had a thought that humans don't need to fight off bears anymore most of the time yk, so maybe that's why they start wars with each other more now. like we need to have an ENEMY or something. maybe?

its such an interesting discussion, i guess humans have been thinking abt this for thousands of years… and yeah its probably true that cruelty is inevitable. so sad! it doesnt hurt to love and care for others as much as we can tho!!i think sometimes people get so bitter at the fact that the world is cruel that they stop striving for peace</3
