something i find very unflattering is when people take pride in being judgemental. i see it online everyday: "dont interact with me if ur a -" and "i block everyone whos -" etc… like the real world doesnt work this way, we just have to interact with people who we disagree with! it broadens our understanding for others and makes life (both online and offline) more interesting too! imo anyone who practices this kinda behavior really need to go outside and talk to people instead of being chronically online…
anyway, ive barely seen this at all on dreamwidth (in contrast to tumblr) and its been so refreshing!! :o)

i've been thinking the same thing and i always try to not get this way as well bc it can be seductive to like, bash someone like that. It's also such an internet thing, no one irl will be like hello my name is X don't talk to me if you do Y. like come on! i try to give ppl a chance both irl and online and give myself a chance to form a judgment based on ppls' actual actions and words and vibes rather than bash someone b4 even trying. and yes it's also more widespread on tumblr than dw or other places too tbh

i have a lot to say about this kind of thing, if i may.

for the purpose of friendship and greater good and understanding beyween people who have different experiences etc etc.

it really is a lot though, so i wanted to ask if its ok to send a text wall so its not unsolicited
